A Custom Theme, Not an Off-the-Shelf Template
Rather than applying a marketplace theme, Webcoda built the Medecs theme from the ground up on HubSpot's Elevate framework — giving full control over the design and code without sacrificing the native HubSpot editing experience.
The design system was built in Figma first, with every colour, typeface, spacing value, and border radius tokenised and synced directly into the theme's CSS. This meant the Medecs brand was consistent at a system level — not just visually applied on top — and any design refinements during the build could be pushed through quickly without rewriting CSS across the site.
Blog Migration: Bringing Years of Content Across
One of the biggest concerns in any WordPress to HubSpot migration is content — particularly blog archives built up over years. For Medecs, all existing blog posts were imported from WordPress into HubSpot, preserving their content, structure, and SEO value. No posts left behind, no manual copy-paste.
The blog was then styled to match the new Medecs theme, giving the content a consistent look regardless of when it was published.
Built for the Team, Not Just the Developer
A theme that only a developer can manage defeats the purpose of HubSpot. The Medecs theme was built so that the client's team can make updates confidently and independently — adding pages, editing sections, and publishing content without needing to raise a support ticket.
A curated section library gives editors a toolkit of pre-built, on-brand layouts — hero banners, image-and-text blocks, feature checklists, FAQs, metrics, course listings, and forms — each with correct defaults so whatever gets built looks intentional. Changing a section background, swapping an image, or reordering content is straightforward. There's nothing to break.

Vasto Integration: Surfacing Courses Directly on the Site
A critical requirement was surfacing Medecs' course catalog — managed in Vasto — directly on the HubSpot website.
The integration means course content stays in Vasto where the Medecs team manages it, while the HubSpot site presents it in a way that's visually on-brand and optimised for conversion.
