Websites for health services
We build websites and intranets for public health services, medical companies and community health providers. Privacy, accessibility and plenty of sign-offs come with the territory, and we plan for them from the start.
Built for people under pressure
Health staff are stretched, and the people visiting a health website are often unwell, worried or short on sleep. Clear information that's quick to find matters more here than almost anywhere.
Our health clients have included NSW Health, NSW Justice Health, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, Saluda Medical and Tresillian.
Easy to use on a bad day
Privacy and approvals planned early

Health projects
We've worked with health services across NSW over the years. Here are a couple of recent projects.
NSW Justice Health
We ran an intensive discovery and design phase before building NSW Justice Health's new intranet. Staff get a searchable employee directory, a media hub that surfaces trending documents and a knowledge hub for policies.
Saluda Medical
After UX workshops with Saluda Medical's staff, we built an intranet around how they work, with a knowledge hub for every document. Staff who were wary of SharePoint now recommend it to colleagues.

The model is the cheap part. Getting your content, permissions and data into a shape a model can safely use is the real project. That's why the first thing we do is look at your content, not your budget.
Adopting AI carefully in health
Health organisations can't afford to get AI wrong. We start with a readiness assessment that looks at your content, permissions and data before any tool is switched on. When we build, it runs in Australian Azure regions or your own tenancy.

The platforms we build on
The right platform depends on who'll be editing the site and what it needs to connect to. These are the four we use most for health organisations.
SharePoint
Umbraco
HubSpot

Health websites and intranets, answered
Yes. Our SharePoint intranet for 1 Reserve Road is the hub for the 10 NSW Health agencies that share the building, with an interactive floor plan. Mid North Coast Local Health District, which serves more than 200,000 residents, has a staff directory and a read-aloud tool on every page. We've also built intranets for NSW Justice Health and Saluda Medical.
Yes. We build to the WCAG guidelines during design and development and test as we go. For Mid North Coast LHD we added a read-aloud tool to every page, and Tresillian's site was designed for exhausted new parents looking for help at 3am.
It can, once your content, permissions and governance are in order, which is why we start with a readiness assessment. When we build, data stays in Australian Azure regions or your own tenancy, and we confirm that in writing. Any chatbot should answer from your own approved content and pass clinical questions to a person.
Our free AI readiness assessment takes about four minutes and gives you a 90-day plan.
Yes. For Abano Healthcare Group we pushed form submissions from its Umbraco site into HubSpot CRM through workflows.
We look at the systems behind the site during discovery, before design starts.
Yes. Our intranets for 1 Reserve Road and Mid North Coast LHD both follow it, with custom SharePoint layouts and web parts styled to match.
Yes. Tresillian's previous agency referred it to us for support on its ageing Umbraco site, and we later rebuilt it on current Umbraco.
We usually start with a technical audit, which tells you whether the current site can be fixed up or whether you'd be better off rebuilding.
For staff intranets we usually recommend SharePoint, since it sits alongside Microsoft 365. Umbraco suits public websites and has no licence fees. HubSpot puts the website and CRM in one system, and Xperience by Kentico is a better fit for organisations with lots of content or several sites.
